Julien Le Nestour is the worldwide IT Innovation Manager for Schlumberger. Schlumberger is the world’s leading supplier of technology, integrated project management and information solutions to customers working in the oil and gas industry worldwide. Employing more than 82,000 people representing over 140 nationalities and working in approximately 80 countries, Schlumberger provides the industry’s widest range of products and services from exploration through production.


He identifies the technologies that could improve business performance and evaluates how they could be incorporated into the organizational fabric to enable distinct capabilities. To that end, his major focus is on rethinking the weaving of social and real-time web technologies to take the productivity of knowledge workers to the next level.


Coming to the IT arm driven by the search for optimal organizational performance, Julien brings a different perspective to the use of innovative technologies within large firms. He is now based in Paris, after spending a year in Houston and three years in London with Schlumberger Information Solutions, where he was working on business and organizational strategy. He holds a Masters degree in Organizational Behavior from Sciences-Po Paris, along with the Masters of Sciences-po. He is also an alumni of the Ecole Normale Superieure de la rue d'Ulm.
